I just saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith for the first time. What a funny, silly movie. Of course, I couldn't help recasting with John and Rodney.Rodney rounded the corner in the hallway just steps ahead of the two plainclothes policemen. He found himself next to a small alcove, one that held a small sofa and a table with a telephone. The telephone itself had just been placed back onto its cradle by the hottest man Rodney'd ever seen - tall, slim, with an impeccably cut ebony tuxedo and the stupidest hair in the world. The man's eyes narrowed as Rodney slid onto the couch next to him.Wouldn't that be great? With John in the Mr. Smith role - all slick and handsome, but a giant dork underneath it all, and Rodney in the Mrs. Smith role - smooth and cold on the outside, but a romantic at heart?
They could meet in Mexico - Rodney would of course be undercover as an astrophysicist, attending an important convention, and John would be an ex-military security consultant checking out one of the major resort hotels. They're both really there on a job, but they get thrown together in the middle of a cocktail party.

"I'm very sorry," Rodney said, then leaned forward and pulled the man into his arms before cupping his face in one hand and kissing him. He felt firm muscles tense further under his hand for a second, then the man in his arms relaxed and kissed back. Rodney couldn't hold back a soft groan when the stranger's tongue teased at his bottom lip. By the time they came up for air, the policemen were long gone.
"What's your name?" the man whispered, his lips still close enough to brush Rodney's.
"Rodney McKay."
"Hi, I'm John Sheppard."
"Pleased to meet you," Rodney said, then leaned in and kissed him again.
As introductions go, it was right up there .
