Rodney couldn't believe what he was seeing. "No. No way. No, no, no, no," he said, waving his hands at John. John who was walking up the steps with Ronon's leash looped around his wrist and the worst thing in the world in his other hand. He stopped John at the threshold with a look; he released Ronon's leash so he could carry on into the house, heading for the kitchen.
John held out his hand, and Rodney jumped back, slapping a hand over his eyes. "I can't see you. Can't see a thing. Pitch black. Totally blind. So sorry."
The tiny Siamese kitten sitting on John's palm said, "Meep."
Rodney peeked between his fingers. He could feel the goofy grin spreading over his face.
"Her name's Teyla," John said smugly, grinning back. "Ronon found her. He likes her."
Rodney hung his head and let them in.
